      • getIdentifier

        public List<Identifier> getIdentifier()
        Id for container. There may be multiple; a manufacturer's bar code, lab assigned identifier, etc. The container ID may differ from the specimen id in some circumstances.
        Returns:
        An unmodifiable list containing immutable objects of type Identifier that may be empty.

      • getDescription

        public String getDescription()
        Textual description of the container.
        Returns:
        An immutable object of type String that may be null.

      • getType

        public CodeableConcept getType()
        The type of container associated with the specimen (e.g. slide, aliquot, etc.).
        Returns:
        An immutable object of type CodeableConcept that may be null.

      • getCapacity

        public SimpleQuantity getCapacity()
        The capacity (volume or other measure) the container may contain.
        Returns:
        An immutable object of type SimpleQuantity that may be null.

      • getSpecimenQuantity

        public SimpleQuantity getSpecimenQuantity()
        The quantity of specimen in the container; may be volume, dimensions, or other appropriate measurements, depending on the specimen type.
        Returns:
        An immutable object of type SimpleQuantity that may be null.

      • getAdditive

        public Element getAdditive()
        Introduced substance to preserve, maintain or enhance the specimen. Examples: Formalin, Citrate, EDTA.
        Returns:
        An immutable object of type Element that may be null.
